Madeline: a baby quilt

Back in March (was it really that long ago?) I did a unique custom order for a woman.  It was a fun one to do too.  The white squares each had a written message on them.  Friends and family members had been given the squares at the baby shower and were asked to write a message to the new baby.  I was sent all of the fabric, batting and thread and asked to use the squares in a quilt.

The backing was a sweet pink and white flannel – nice and cozy!

It had been a few years since the baby shower and the “baby” is now three.  (There’s no judgement from me – I have unfinished projects from three years ago too!)  This big-girl quilt was a gift for her third birthday.  I hope Madeline enjoys her quilt for years and years!

  2. What a sweet quilt! Great baby shower idea, and great that you could put all of it together for them into a big-girl quilt!
