Sewing with Scraps

One of my favorite things about belonging to the do.  Good Stitches group is that once each month I have a good excuse to pull out my scrap bins and dig through them.  I keep telling myself that I’ll do a scrap quilt for myself one of these days, but I never get around to it.  There’s always so many other projects in the queue.

These are my August and September blocks:

The tutorial for the September blocks can be found here.  The block is called “Boy’s Nonsense” and my friend Amanda wrote a fantastic tutorial for it.  She added in a couple of really helpful tips that make this block a quick and easy one to whip up.  Her measurements are spot-on too.  My blocks finished at exactly 12.5”.   Go and check it out!
