Happy Halloween

pumpkins

Well Happy Halloween to you all!  These are our pumpkins from our garden this year – not bad eh?  We’ve never attempted to grow pumpkins in our garden before but I think we will from now on!

I spent a little time yesterday afternoon finishing up my bee blocks for October:

These are flying geese blocks made using this tutorial.  The inspiration quilt for this month’s project is here.  It’s a great quilt, isn’t it?

I’ve tried several techniques when making a flying geese block but I’d have to say that this way is BY FAR my favorite.  It was quick, easy and out of all of those triangles I only had one issue with one of the triangle points and it wasn’t even a big deal- I’m just extra picky.

Yesterday I also drew the giveaway winner from last week -
40
Mindy – who said: “I happen to love Fall also, especially decorating and doing crafts with my kiddos.”  Congrats Mindy!  I’ll be sending you an email to get your mailing address.

Thank you to everyone who entered.  I hope you all have a fun and safe Halloween.  My thoughts and prayers are with all those who have been affected by hurricane Sandy.  The images and stories of events back east are just unimaginable.
