Hexing Around

April was my month to plan the quilt for our IMAGINE at do.  Good Stitches group.  After several weeks of deliberation, I decided on this tutorial by Lee over at Freshly Pieced.  Each member of our IMAGINE group chose one color and made two blocks, and then mailed them to me.  It was so fun to get the mail each day as these lovely blocks kept coming in!

All of the blocks are here now and my next job is to decide how to place them all.  Once I got them on my wall, I had to decide which colors of blocks I would contribute. I thought it needed one more green block, and I also made an orangey-yellow block.

Here are all of the gorgeous blocks up on the design wall:

Next up:  Adding some thin (maybe 2”?) sashing between each block and getting the quilt top finished!

Have a wonderful Mother’s Day!

Have fun putting that together. I hope the recipient falls in love. I would love to sign up for a bee, but am not sure if I have the time. Enjoy
