Each has an old dark T-shirt around them to protect the fabric from light damage. They are stacked behind the chair in our tiny kitchen table in our travel trailer we live in. The top of the stack as well as the chair turned to its side so it also as well as the stacked bins serve as a side table for our couch. We do not eat at the table. It is my ironing board/cutting mat area, and sewing table. They fit exactly against a wall in my spare room. I Maria Condo fold my fabrics, so I can see everything. I swear I open every drawer just to absorb the beauty.
I am looking for WIP storage ideas, but haven't seen anything in my budget. Right now I dedicated a file drawer, but put each project in its own plastic grocery sack. It doesn't work well. My home is small and I love the file cabinets, but need smaller portable containers that won't smush up my beauties. I also need a portable container for my new English Paper Piecing Project.
I am so proud of my file cabinets, one day I will give them a pretty paint job. They keep mice and moths out, necessary here in the mountains. No open containers for me!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01181752320080784189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5751325190781065989.post-57285173021266558992021-05-15T18:54:23.172-06:002021-05-15T18:54:23.172-06:00I have a sewing serger and embroiderey machines. Beside each machine I have an Ikea set of 5 drawers cabinet on wheels that I store all the supplies for each machine as the machines are in separate rooms. So did the bakers rack to organize WIPs - love the idea. Saving for later. I use all clear plastic bins as much as possible. Open shelving (IKEA Kallax) helps me the most. Has to be visible for me. Such joy when I put it all away. Still struggling with scraps - I think I am over complicating it and need to try something simpler and quicker to get me going. Thanks so much for doing this!Sherri Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15325802990683588983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5751325190781065989.post-32812957486392855402018-08-03T18:05:22.462-06:002018-08-03T18:05:22.462-06:00Great series of some great ideas for storage.
