Recap (part 1)

I had the chance to go to quilt market this year!  I had a marvelous time and took way too many photos.  I’m going to do my best to just pick my favorites – pinky promise.  (My 5 year old just learned about pinky promises so there’s a lot of them going on around here.)

I flew in to Portland on Thursday, and went straight from the airport to the convention center.  Sample spree had already begun and the “late line” was already quite long.  I was the last one in the late line – but I got in - and there was plenty of fabric left for us late peeps.

Here’s my haul.  I tried to keep my acquisitions to a minimum and even though this is quite a pile, from the looks of some of the (multiple) huge bags some women were carrying I think I did pretty well.

The fabrics I’m most excited about are these Art Gallery fabrics.

During my visit to Portland I also found my way to Fabric Depot.  Holy Macaroni that is one huge store.  I should have given myself way more time to spend there.  I walked out with a few quarter-yard cuts of just my favorites:

Now I get to play with them all!  Right now they’re all stacked on my cutting table.  I can’t bring myself to put them in the closet yet.

  5. What a great selection! Congratulations on your haul!
Love the green and pink set from Art Gallery Fabric. Just pulled a similar colour combo for a girl baby quilt. Lots of fun " admiring " your new beauties!

  6. The Art Gallery fabrics look beautiful and the rest of your loot looks so cool too! Could you tell us here or in another post what the other jelly rolls, fat quarter bundles, etc. are? I'm really curious.
